SEPTEMBER 14-15, 2024

#YouCanTri

THE EVIAN TRIATHLON PRESENTS ITS 2023 CARBON FOOTPRINT!

Since its creation in 2023, the Evian Triathlon has taken significant steps to minimise its environmental impact, and will continue to do so in the years to come. Thanks to the efforts of its participants, its partners and their collective commitments, the Evian Triathlon presents its Carbon Footprint®

As an organiser, our commitment has focused on several major areas of development, reflecting our constant desire to innovate in order to reduce our environmental impact.

Recruitment of participants  🏊🏻 🚴🏻 🏃🏻

The Evian Triathlon does not undertake any initiatives to attract participants from abroad, outside neighbouring countries, with a particular focus on countries accessible only by low-emission transport. This orientation aims to minimise the carbon footprint associated with travel, thereby encouraging the participation of local people and supporting community development.

Accessibility by transport 🚊 🚲

The organisation emphasises the accessibility of our event by public transport, which is well developed in Haute-Savoie and even in neighbouring Switzerland. This approach aims to encourage the use of low-carbon modes of transport, thereby helping to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions generated by the travel associated with our triathlon.

The participant gifts 🎁

In terms of participating gifts, the emphasis is on French products from local producers, often in the form of everyday items.

Partnerships and local players 🤝

The Evian Triathlon is strengthening its links with local players by promoting partnerships with Evian-based companies. These collaborations support the local economic fabric and also strengthen our attachment to the community.
